National Infection Control Week: Essential Resources for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists

National Infection Control Week (NICW) is October 14-18, 2024. As flu and respiratory illness season approaches, it’s especially crucial for health professionals like audiologists and speech-language pathologists to focus on preventing the spread of these illnesses to keep patients, loved ones, colleagues and ourselves healthy.

Public Health Ontario (PHO) Resources

PHO offers valuable resources for infection prevention and control (IPAC). By creating a “MyPHO” account, you can access online learning courses and bookmark important best practice documents tailored to your practice.

Webinars and Online Learning

PHO offers online courses and webinars on IPAC topics. Attending webinars can count towards Continuous Learning Activity Credits (CLACs) for those who have a learning goal related to IPAC.
