How the annual registration renewal process helps to protect the public

Starting July 30, CASLPO’s speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and audiologists (AUDs) in Ontario begin their annual registration renewal. We are often asked why this process is necessary and how it benefits patient safety.

Each year, as with all other regulated health professionals in Ontario, CASLPO requires SLPs and AUDs to renew their registration. The information they provide helps the College ensure that the public register is accurate and up to date. Registrants also confirm their ongoing practice in patient care and related work. And, by paying renewal fees, they renew their ability to practice in Ontario.

Renewal fees support CASLPO’s critical work in safeguarding the public and making sure that patients always receive safe, quality, ethical, and professional care.
