Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) Guide for Health Care Professionals Now Available

Regulated health care professionals are sometimes asked to provide medical information for patients applying for Ontario’s Disability Support Program (ODSP). Audiologists and speech-language pathologists are authorized to complete the Activities of Daily Living Index (ADLI). The information they provide as part of this process helps the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) determine a patient’s eligibility for ODSP income support and benefits.

To simplify the process and lessen the administrative load on health care providers, the Ministry recently redesigned their ODSP guide for health care professionals. This virtual guide is easily accessible and includes essential information to assist health care providers in accurately and efficiently completing the required forms.
