It is important that you decide where you wish to live and work in Canada before applying for registration in Canada because each audiology and speech-language pathology regulator in Canada may have different requirements for becoming registered.
STEP 1 |
Download the Application Guide and Forms for International and Non- Accredited Canadian Programs |
STEP 2a |
Submit all required documents and forms to the College with your application fee. |
STEP 2b (For graduates of McMaster University only) |
You may enroll for the CETP Exam through Speech Language and Audiology Canada (SAC)’s website during their enrollment period. (Link: https://www.sac-oac.ca/writing-cetp-exams-audslp#Enrollment )
If is not necessary to complete an application with CASLPO prior to enrolling for the CETP Exam. (However, to have your eligibility confirmed, CASLPO must have completed a full review of your application for registration and confirmed with SAC least three weeks before the exam date that all of the registration requirements have been met.) |
STEP 3 |
Check for an email from the College notifying you of our receipt of your application and of any outstanding documents that have not been received. The email should arrive 15 days after the College has received your application.

Please let your universities and other institutions know that CASLPO is not accepting couriers or hand-delivered packages. If they choose to mail your documents, they must use regular mail. |
STEP 4 |
The review process for your application will not begin until the College has received a complete application, which includes all of the required documents.
The review and assessment of an application from graduates of an international program will take 12 weeks to complete.
If you are deemed eligibile for registration, CASLPO’s Registration form will be sent to you via email.
OR
If a deficiency is found in your application, CASLPO will inform you via email that your application requires further review and will provide information regarding the next steps associated with the process. |
STEP 5 (For graduates of international programs) |
You will be directed to SAC’s website to enroll in the CETP Exam and CASLPO will notify SAC that you are eligible to write the CETP examination.

STEP 6 |
After you have submitted a complete Registration Form and the accompanying documents to CASLPO, the College will confirm your registration by email. The email should arrive 1 Week after the College received your Registration Form.
You are not considered registered until you have received written confirmation of registration from the College and have been assigned a registration number. |
